Sandy Bay - Roatan
Sandy Bay encompasses a very large area of Roatan’s northern shore between Coxen Hole and West End. Many neighborhoods make up the Sandy Bay area, including Lawson Rock, Mangrove Bight, Gibson Bight, Anthony’s Key area, La Colonia, and more.

The Sandy Bay beach area is beautiful and vibrant, with many Dive shops and restaurants which line the beach area, offering you plenty of options for a fun Roatan vacation in Sandy Bay!
Blue Bahia has a beach front restaurant (The Beach Grill) serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have live entertainment on Thursday nights.

Tranquil Seas also has a restaurant and live entertainment.
There are several restaurants within a 7 mile radius. Some of the favorites are the Thai Restaurant, Lilly Pond House, Roatan Oaisis. These are all in West End.
Breakfast at Anthony’s Key is delightful and within a four minute walk.

West End has many shops for souvenirs, clothes and many other things.
In Coxen Hole, there are ATMs and also several banks, but the lines could be a half hour or more long. The gas stations also have ATMs.
There is a major grocery store, Eldon’s, as well as a lovely bakery and a fresh fish market.

The Blue Bahia is a 5 minute walk from the house. They have a full service PADI dive shop named Octopus Dive School.

Tranquil Seas is another resort just down the beach. They also have a full service PADI dive shop.
There are also several other dive places in the West End.
You can pick up your dive tour directly from the dock on our property. We provide a list of dive tours in the Welcome Book in the house.

There are many fishing/deep sea fishing options available.
